George Kailis is an accomplished business leader with over four decades of experience in the global seafood industry. As Managing Director of the Kailis Bros Trading Division, part of the family company founded in Perth in 1926 by his grandfather G.P. Kailis, he led the transformation of the business into Australia’s largest seafood trading enterprise. Based in Melbourne since 1991, George oversaw national expansion across all capital cities and established international offices in Thailand, Vietnam and New Zealand. Beyond his business achievements, George has contributed extensively to community and industry organisations. He has served as Vice President of the Seafood Traders Association of Australia and as a Board Member of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese St Basil’s Nursing Homes in Victoria. Passionate about Greece, its history, and its future, George joined the Board of The Hellenic Initiative Australia at its inception twelve years ago, initially leading its fundraising efforts and now serving as President.
