Mr. Michalis Tsarbopoulos holds an MBA from the Simon School of Business of the University of Rochester, and a Diploma in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens. He has served in senior roles in the Banking and Management Consulting industries, in Greece, for more than two decades. He started his career as a management consultant at the Boston Consulting Group, where he led several strategy projects in Greece and abroad. Since 2007 he has been in the Banking industry where he served as Manager, Strategic Initiatives at HSBC plc Greece, before moving to Eurobank where over the course of 14 years he transitioned from Head of Wholesale Strategic Planning to Head of Global Transaction Banking, to Group Chief Digital Officer, in charge of leading the digital transformation in the organization. In December 2021, he joined Alpha Bank as Chief Digital Officer where he led the digital transformation of the organization, and as of July 2025 he was appointed Chief Digital & Technology Officer, member of the Executive Committee, leading the bank's technology transformation by driving innovation, strengthening IT and security, leveraging AI, and ensuring a strong link between technology and value.
