Amalia Giannakikou has a long and diverse experience in leadership roles within large business organizations, specializing in corporate transformation, strategic restructuring, business development and commercial operations. She has led critical initiatives in public and private entities, actively participating in G2G, G2B, and B2B projects, contributing instrumentally to enhancing organizational efficiency and shaping sustainable business models. With thirty years of experience in the energy sector, she has served as an executive and as a member of the Board of Directors of leading utilities and IPPs, such as Masdar, Terna Energy, Iberdrola, Motor Oil Hellas (during the period of the joint venture with Saudi Aramco) and LDK Consultants. Ms. Giannakikou has developed a deep knowledge of energy markets and international business practices, with a professional presence in many countries and particular specialization in the European market. She holds an MSc in Business Finance from Brunel University (University of London) and a BEng in Manufacturing Systems Engineering with Management from King's College London (University of London). In addition, she has a certification in corporate governance from the International Institute for Management Development (IMD Switzerland) and in project management from the Project Management Institute (UK).
