Marina is an expert in EU, competition and antitrust law. She advises multi-national clients on antitrust, merger control and State aid issues, with substantial experience in cross-border and cross-section transactions, risk and strategy assessment and regulatory compliance. Her work includes FSR and FDI screening advice, supporting clients on investment structuring, guiding them through clearance procedures and helping them navigate multi-jurisdictional rules in the context of evolving EU and national security regulations. Marina has extensive experience in representing clients across various industries in alleged cartel, abuse of dominance and merger cases. She has effectively coordinated multi-jurisdictional filings and obtained clearance for high-profile M&A transactions from the Hellenic Competition Commission and the European Commission in a wide range of industry specialisations. Marina also supports clients in relation to compliance with international sanctions regimes, advising on sanctions monitoring and reporting requirements and the design and implementation of compliance programs, as well as assisting clients to obtain authorization from national authorities and liaising with the regulators. Marina holds a BSc Econ in Government and Law from the London School of Economics and Political Science and an LLM in European Community Law from King's College London. She is admitted to the Athens Bar (1999) and the Athens Court of Appeals (2004).
