Dr. Grigorios Koutsogiannis took the position of Group CEO EFA GROUP in Oct 2025. With extensive international experience in the defense, aerospace, and high-technology sectors, he has over 20 years of expertise in business development, strategy, and the management of complex defense international programs across Europe, Middle East, Africa, and Asia. From 2024 to 2025, he served as Regional Business Development Director for L3Harris, responsible for the Middle East, North Africa, India, and Greece. In this position, he led business development activities across the region, qualifying and shaping major campaigns in the Maritime, Strategic and Airborne ISR, Autonomy and Counter UAS domains. From 2008 to 2024, Dr. Koutsogiannis held several leadership roles within Lockheed Martin – Rotary and Mission Systems (RMS), managing international business development efforts for NATO, Continental Europe, Middle East, and Africa. He successfully captured strategic programs in rotary wings, radar, naval platforms, missile defense, C4I, and cyber. He also served as Technical Lead for the UK Ministry of Defence on Tactical Data Links, GIS, and F-35 Interoperability projects. Earlier in his career, he worked as a Research Engineer at the Mitsubishi Electric Research Laboratories (UK), focusing on advanced signal processing for active and passive radar systems. Dr. Koutsogiannis holds a PhD in Signal Processing and Telecommunications (2003) and a BEng (Hons) in Electronic and Electrical Engineering (2000), both from the University of Strathclyde in the United Kingdom. His doctoral studies were funded by the UK Ministry of Defence. He has authored numerous papers and holds an international patent on Radars. Dr. Koutsogiannis is also a licensed private pilot with an aerobatics rating. He speaks Greek, English, and French, and is a beginner in Arabic. He is a two-time recipient of the Lockheed Martin NOVA Award for Excellence.
