Dimitris Fragakis is the President of the Development Organization of the Region of Attica “New Metropolitan Attica SA”. Born in 1972 in Athens, he holds an MSc in Law and Political Science from the University of Athens and is a graduate of the Athens School of Philosophy. Throughout his professional career, he has held key positions in the public sector He served as an Advisor to Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis in the Hellenic Parliament (2004–2013) and at the Ministry of Administrative Reform (2013–2014). From 2014 to 2019, he served as Secretary General for the Municipality of Chania, and in 2019, he ran for office in the National Elections as a candidate for Member of the Parliament. From 2019 to 2024, he served as Secretary General of the Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO). He is currently appointed President of the Organizing Committee of Euroleague Final 4 Athens 2026. He is the owner of a family tourism business, speaks fluent English and Italian, and has one son.
