Dimitris Tsikopoulos is the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Navarino, the leading global provider of technology and connectivity solutions for the maritime industry. Since founding the company in 1998, he has led its transformation from a start-up into an internationally recognized organization of more than 300 employees, with offices in over 10 key shipping hubs worldwide. Under his leadership, Navarino has been at the forefront of digitalization in shipping, developing, distributing and supporting innovative technology products, services and spin-off ventures, that drive real value for maritime customers globally. More recently, he has been instrumental in leading Navarino through a new phase of growth following its strategic investment by ICG, focusing on further scaling the business, and driving it towards becoming a $1 billion maritime technology company in terms of valuation. With a strong background in finance, strategy, and shipping, he has consistently driven innovation while leading with integrity and a focus on excellence. He co-founded Net One S.A., where he served as Co-CEO and helped shape its commercial and financial strategy, leading to its successful sale to private equity investors in 2001. Earlier in his career, he gained experience at Navarino Shipping in London, working across finance and chartering, where he was involved in vessel financing and commercial operations. Alongside his corporate leadership, since 2018 he has served as President of Panerythraikos BC in Athens, where he has played a key role in transforming the club into one of the most modern and successful basketball academies in Greece, promoting youth development and creating pathways for athletes to pursue educational and sporting opportunities at the collegiate level in the United States. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Finance from the University of Notre Dame, graduating with High Honors, an MSc in Shipping Trade and Finance from Bayes Business School (formerly Cass) in London, and an MBA in Strategy and Management from the University of Cambridge. Fluent in English and Greek, with proficiency in Spanish and French, he maintains a range of interests outside the boardroom, including travel, running, alpine skiing, and basketball.
