Evangelia (Eva) Chalioti is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Economics at Yale University. Her research focuses on the economics of artificial intelligence (AI), innovation, and competition, with an emphasis on how AI reshapes markets, pricing strategies, and firm operations. She holds a PhD in Economics from the Athens University of Economics and Business. At Yale, she teaches microeconomics to large undergraduate cohorts, as well as courses on the Economics of AI and Competition in the MBA for Executives program at the Yale School of Management. She is the recipient of multiple awards for excellence in teaching. She served as Associate Chair of the Department of Economics for eight years and, following the completion of her term in 2025, continues as Director of Teaching Support. She is a member of the Advisory Board of the Poorvu Center for Teaching and Learning and a mentor at the Tsai Center for Innovative Thinking at Yale, advising startups. She also serves as an expert at the UNESCO Inclusive Policy Lab. Eva consults for organizations and delivers executive education on pricing strategies and the strategic use of AI. She is a frequent speaker at international conferences and corporate forums, including Reuters, the National Association of Business Economics (NABE), the Consortium in New York, and the Society for Neuroeconomics.
