Martina Branconi is Global Head of Regulatory Deployment at BAT, where she works on regulatory policy and stakeholder engagement across global markets, with a focus on tobacco and nicotine regulation. Her role brings together regulatory insight, evidence and dialogue with a wide range of stakeholders to support balanced, proportionate policy approaches. Prior to this role, Martina served as Area Head of External Affairs for Western Europe, supporting markets across the region in developing and implementing external affairs strategies, including on tobacco harm reduction. She previously held senior regulatory affairs roles within BAT’s global Government Affairs and External Engagement team, where she worked on regulatory strategy for vapour and heated products. Martina joined BAT in 2011 and has held public affairs and regulatory roles in Italy, Belgium, Ireland and the UK. She also served as Head of Public Affairs International at Flutter Entertainment Plc before re‑joining BAT in 2021.
