Shishir Priyadarshi is President of the Chintan Research Foundation (CRF), a policy think tank focused on translating strategic reflection into actionable ideas for people-centric development, particularly across climate change and energy transition, economy and trade, and geopolitics. Earlier he served as Director at the World Trade Organization (WTO), where he worked on global trade governance, development negotiations, and policy coherence, with a strong emphasis on developing-country and Global South perspectives. He has also spent over two decades in the Indian Administrative Service, holding senior positions at state and central levels, including roles linked to economic management, industry, finance, and inter-ministerial coordination. He holds an MA in Economics from the University of Reading, UK and an MSc in Nuclear Physics from Delhi University, earning gold medals in both. He maintains active academic affiliations in India and internationally.
