Ariadni (Aria) Agatsa was appointed Chair of the Board of Directors of ANA-MPA in January 2026. She served as Vice President of the Journalists’ Union of Athens Daily Newspapers (ESIEA) from 2017 until the end of 2025. In the course of her duties, she represented the Union in international forums of the European Federation of Journalists (EFJ) and the International Federation of Journalists (IFJ). She was also responsible for the Union’s training programs and seminars (New Media, Artificial Intelligence, Fact-Checking, Journalists’ Safety, etc.). She is also a member of the Panhellenic Sports Press Association (PSAT), the Union of European Sports Press (UEPS), and the International Sports Press Association (AIPS), and has served on the Board of Directors of the Athens-Macedonian News Agency (AMNA) as a representative of ESIEA. She has worked, among others, for the following media outlets: Hellenic Broadcasting Corporation (ERT S.A.), ANTENNA TV, SKAI 100.4, KANALI ENA Piraeus, Athlitiki Icho, Epikairotita, Apogevmatini tis Kyriakis, 24 Ores, and the Press Office of the General Secretariat for Sports. She has received the following awards: the “Athanasios Botsis Foundation Journalism Award” and the “PSAT Award for Best Program”. She has been elected as a Member of Parliament for the constituencies of Boeotia and the Northern Sector of Athens, and has served as Prefectural Councillor and Deputy Prefect of Boeotia. She has been designated as an “Ambassador for Persons with Disabilities” by the National Sports Federation for Persons with Disabilities. She is also a track and field and basketball athlete. She holds a degree in “Greek Civilization, Humanities and Social Sciences” from the Hellenic Open University, as well as certifications in English (C2 level), Italian, and Information Technology (UNICERT PRIMARY, University of Piraeus). She has one son, a final-year student in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Thessaly.
