Carolina Chimoy is an international correspondent at DW’s headquarters in Berlin, currently covering the war in Ukraine. She previously served as DW’s U.S. correspondent in Washington, D.C., reporting on the White House, national security, and transatlantic relations. Carolina has anchored DW’s primetime news in both German and Spanish and reported extensively across Latin America. She has interviewed global leaders like Nicaraguan President Daniel Ortega, Ukraine's Minister of Strategic Industries Alexander Kamyshin, U.S. National Security Advisor John Kirby and Mexico City’s Claudia Sheinbaum. Carolina has also moderated panels for prestigious institutions, including the German Marshall Fund, the Meridian Summit in Washington, D.C and the Humboldtforum in Berlin.
