Nikos Koumettis CEO | Entrepreneur | Board Chair & Director | Youth Empowerment Advocate Until the end of 2025, Nikos Koumettis served as President of the Europe Operating Unit at The Coca-Cola Company, having led operations across 120 countries throughout his career. Under his leadership, Coca-Cola Europe achieved a successful track record, earning both the Woodruff Cup and the Candler Cup - the company’s most prestigious awards for business performance, execution excellence, and market leadership. Nikos joined The Coca-Cola Company in 2001 as Managing Director for Greece and Cyprus. Over more than two decades, he advanced through multiple senior leadership roles, including President of the Adriatic and Balkans, President of East & Central Europe, President of the Canada Business Unit, and Group President of Europe, the Middle East & Africa (EMEA). Beyond Coca-Cola, Nikos has served as a Board Director for several leading international companies and institutions. He is currently a Board Member of Canada Goose International. He has also served on the boards of Coca-Cola FEMSA, Coca-Cola Beverages Africa (CCBA), and Société BIC, where he chaired the Board and led a major CEO transition from family to professional leadership. Additionally, he chairs the Board of HCCB, Coca-Cola’s bottling company in India, and serves as Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees at the American College of Greece. He is also a founding member of The Hellenic Initiative, supporting economic renewal, entrepreneurship and philanthropy in Greece. An entrepreneur and mentor, Nikos has founded and co-founded ventures spanning consulting, wellness, and hospitality — including Six Star Sailing and Life & Tonic Consulting. He is the co-founder and Chair of the Advisory Board of Regeneration, one of the largest employment and training programs for young graduates in Greece. Since 2015, Regeneration has generated more than €600 million in value for the Greek economy, according to a McKinsey study. Born in Sudan to Greek Cypriot parents and raised in Greece, Nikos holds a B.Sc. in Business Administration from the American College of Greece and an M.Sc. in International Marketing from Strathclyde Business School. Between 2023 and 2025, he also completed certifications in Mentor Coaching and Board Governance from Harvard Business School. He lives in Athens with his wife, Sarita Chaim, and they have two children, Petros and Felitsia. Outside of business, he loves skiing and sailing—always seeking new challenges both on the slopes and at sea—and is deeply committed to coaching and mentoring the next generation of leaders.
