George Tziallas is Tourism Expert and Executive Advisor at DBC diadikasia S.A. He is a member of the expert group for EU Tourism (T4T) of the European Commission. He has an overall 30-year professional experience and has served as Secretary-General in the Greek Ministry of Tourism from September 2015 until July 2019. He also worked as Regional Director at World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC). He holds a Diploma in Civil Engineering from the University of Patras, Greece and a Master's Degree (M.Sc.) in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville, USA. He has worked in management consulting as a freelance expert, specializing in tourism development and planning, local and regional development, strategic and operational planning, as well as in the management, monitoring and evaluation of EU Programmes and projects, in Greece and abroad. George has worked in senior positions in management consulting firms for more than twenty years and he is Associate Board Member of the Hellenic Association of Management Consulting Firms (SESMA). He has been the project manager of large-scale technical assistance projects at national and EU level. He has participated as a key-note speaker and moderator in many international tourism and economic forums and conferences. He also served as Vice-Chair of the Bureau of OECD Tourism Committee and has worked as an Expert in World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), specializing in tourism innovation, digital transformation and investments.
