Guillaume Klossa is a European tech entrepreneur and strategic leader operating at the intersection of power, entreprise, technology and society, helping decision-makers navigate and shape Europe’s most complex transformations. As Chairman and CEO of T-life, he is building a next-generation deep tech company redefining blood disease diagnostics through physics-and-biology informed artificial intelligence. He convenes top European decision-makers—including António Costa and Mark Rutte —through The Conclave, a high-level, pluri-disciplinary and forward-looking platform that brings together policymakers, industry leaders, investors, thinkers and citizens to inspire Europe’s strategic agenda. As Chairman, he leads the Conclave with former deputy prime minister Antonio Vitorino, advisory board chair and former OECD deputy secretary general and Bertelsmann foundation CEO Aart de Geus, executive vice-president. With leading European figures such as Jean-François Van Boxmeer, Maria Gabriel, Margrethe Vestager, Nicolas Schmit and Slavoj Žižek, he co-initiated and co-chairs the Europa Power Initiative, a coalition of more than 250 leaders from business, policy, culture and academia and civil society committed to strengthening Europe’s global role. Its flagship gathering, the Strasbourg Europa Power Conference (October 21–23), will convene key actors around the theme “the courage to build Europe,” alongside the inaugural Global Power Think Tank and Foundation Forum around the Power, AI, rivalry and common good. A former senior executive in major international organizations—Bureau Veritas, McDonald’s, Hill+Knowlton Strategies, Vivendi and the European Broadcasting Union (Eurovision) he led strategic post-merger repositioning, digital transformation, launched new services, conducted product review and developped societal impact and brand influence particularly with the McDonald’s contribution to society model which is a worldwide benchmark. At the highest level of European governance, he has served as Special Advisor to the French Presidency of the Council of the European Union under President Sarkozy, Sherpa in charge of the future of Europe to the European Council, and Special Advisor on AI, platform regulation, media and democracy to the European Commission Presidency under President Juncker. He has played a key role in shaping responses to major European challenges—from the constitutional crisis in 2005 to post British referendum on Europe and the aftermath of the 2008 financial crisis—and in advancing strategic policies such as the expansion of Erasmus and the regulation of technological AI powered platforms. Deeply committed to social cohesion and democratic innovation, he has designed and led large-scale, cross-border initiatives that connect citizens, business leaders and policymakers. These include We Europeans, one of the first multilingual, AI-powered transnational consultation platforms, engaging over 40 million citizens and directly informing European political agendas ahead of the 2019 European elections. An accomplished author and public thinker, his latest book was a finalist for the European Book Prize. The last Conclave works he contributed to highlights the imperative for Europe to emerge as a sustainable, responsible global power and to complement its competitiveness agenda with a bold, long-term growth strategy. Guillaume is also actively engaged in shaping the next generation of global leaders, having served for six years on the strategic and executive boards of the CEMS Global Alliance, a network of 33 leading business schools, multinational companies and NGOs. He is an alumnus of HEC Paris, the London School of Economics, and Sciences Po Paris, a fellow of the US State Department international visitor leadership program and a former columnist for international media including Forbes and Metro.
