Anthony Diamandakis was born and raised in Chicago. He is a Vice Chairman for Banking at JPMorgan and has enjoyed a successful 30-year career in international finance.

He has worked in Chicago, New York and London, where he was based for almost 25 years and conducted advisory and capital markets business at the highest levels across most European countries, the Middle East and Africa. His contact network in this region is senior and extensive and includes financial advisory and banking professionals, industry regulators, private and public investors, family offices, and sovereign wealth and pension funds.

Prior to his current senior banking role at JPMorgan, he held several leadership roles in his 10 year tenure at Citigroup, including both European Head and Global Head of the Global Asset Managers franchise, where he managed a team of 100 employees across 7 international offices with a P&L exceeding $1 billion. He also served for several years as a member of Citi’s European and Global Operating teams for banking and capital markets. Prior to this, he was a Managing Director at Credit Suisse, where he spent nearly 20 years.

Anthony was selected as Financial News 50 Most Influential for several years and Mergerlinks’ list of European Top Investment Bankers (2022) and Top Private Equity Investment Bankers (2023, 2024). He has print media experience across multiple channels and TV experience through Bloomberg.

He graduated from The University of Chicago in 1997 with a B.A. in Modern European History, with a particular focus on the Austrian-Hungarian and Ottoman empires. He has served in various alumni capacities as at The University of Chicago, including as a member of the UK/European Alumni Council, the College Advisory Council, the Alumni Board, and currently Chairs the Advisory Council for the Institute for the Study of Ancient Cultures (ISAC).

Anthony’s charitable activities are extensive and have included The National Hellenic Society, Venice in Peril, Over-the-Wall (the UK chapter of Paul Newman’s Serious Fun Network), and The American School of Classical Studies in Athens.

He and his wife, Vicky, have been married for 22 years. They have two daughters and a son and make their home in New York.
