Cyril Schiever is the Senior Vice President, International Strategic Projects at MSD, where he leads the company’s AI strategy. Most recently he served as SVP and President of Mid-Europe Region at MSD with a responsibility for a region of 32 countries. As a pharmaceutical industry expert, Cyril brings 30 years of international experience across a range of senior leadership roles. His career has spanned Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Canada. He is deeply committed to creating inclusive environments where diverse teams and individuals can thrive, and he believes strongly in empowering people to turn innovation into meaningful, measurable patient impact at scale. Cyril’s passion to pharmaceutical industry is rooted in a desire to help patients live longer, healthier lives. He is especially enthusiastic about the potential of innovation, data, and AI to remove barriers to access, improve clinical practice, and transform healthcare delivery. He is particularly energized by the ways AI and real-world data can reshape clinical decision-making, evidence generation, and the broader healthcare ecosystem. Above all, he is a strong advocate for ensuring that patients can access innovation wherever they live. A firm believer in collaboration and partnership, Cyril has a strong track record of building cross-sector initiatives. As Managing Director of MSD in France, he created MSDAVENIR, a 75-million-euro research endowment fund dedicated to life sciences, helping establish MSD as the company with the highest number of public-private research partnerships in France. Cyril is a French national and holds an MBA and a master’s diploma in international business and marketing from the University of Paris-Dauphine.
