Andrew Novo is Professor of Strategic Studies at the National Defense University, Washington, DC where he teaches in the Master’s in Strategic Studies program. He studied classical history at Princeton University before earning an M.Phil in international relations and a D.Phil in modern history from St. Antony’s College, the University of Oxford. His most recent books are: Turbulence Across the Sea: Transatlantic Relations and Strategic Competition (2024), The EOKA Cause (2021), and Restoring Thucydides (2020) with Dr. Jay Parker. Dr. Novo is also an adjunct professor at the Georgetown University School of Foreign Service and the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS), and a non-resident Senior Fellow at the Center for European Policy Affairs. He has lectured at the United States Military Academy, the United States Naval Academy, the University of Torino, and the French Ecole Militaire. His research and speaking interests include: great power competition, Mediterranean history and politics, and American foreign policy.
