Giannis Papadopoulos Founding Partner -Head of Infra and Energy efficiency Eos Global Investors – Eos Capital Partners Giannis is a Founding Partner, member of the founding team of EOS Global Investors – EOS Capital Partners, the largest Greek private equity management firm with over €700 million in assets under management. He has more than 20 years of experience in the Private Equity – Venture Capital sector in Greece, having participated in over 30 investments with successful exits, IPOs, acquisitions, and more than €400 million deployed. Before assuming his current role, Giannis was the co founder and CEO of Attica Ventures, a venture capital firm investing in Greek SMEs. Over his two decade presence in the investment market, he has developed deep expertise in investment management, mergers and acquisitions, business development, corporate restructuring, and the execution of large scale investment projects. He has served on more than 20 Boards of Directors of listed companies on the Athens Stock Exchange, investment firms, and public organizations, gaining extensive experience in the governance of major enterprises. His board roles include: Chairman of DEPA Commercial (2019–2024), Hellenic Development Bank (2012–2015), PPC – Public Power Corporation (2009), ETAD – Public Properties Company (2007–2009), and ISAP – Athens–Piraeus Electric Railways (2004–2007). In October 2011, he received the Employment Growth Award from the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry, recognizing his long-standing investment activity and contribution to job creation. He is the President of the Hellenic Venture Capital Association (HVCA), a member of the Advisory Committee of the Hellenic Capital Market Commission, a member of the Alternative Market Advisory Committee of the Athens Stock Exchange, and a member of the Advisory Board of the MBA International Program at the Athens University of Economics and Business. From 2001 to 2013, he was an elected member of the Board of the Technical Chamber of Greece (TEE), responsible for the sectors of Industry, SMEs, and Entrepreneurship. He holds a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, specializing in Production Engineering and Management, from the National Technical University of Athens, and an MBA from Bayes Business School, London (formerly Cass).
