Smaragda Rigakou is General Counsel, Head of Legal, Regulatory & Compliance Division at Euronext Athens. She advises the Board of Directors and senior management on legal, regulatory, compliance and corporate governance matters, with particular focus on capital markets, financial market infrastructures, listed companies and financial services regulation. She has played a key role in strategic and regulatory projects shaping the Greek capital market, including the integration of ATHEX Group into Euronext following the successful completion of Euronext’s voluntary share exchange offer for ATHEX. A Supreme Court lawyer and member of the Athens Bar, Smaragda has been recognised among the World Federation of Exchanges’ Top 20 Women Leaders.
