Filippo Innocenti joined ZHA in 2002 and has 23 years of professional experience spanning cultural facilities, conservation, and sustainability, with specialisation in the design of transportation buildings. He has played a crucial role in pioneering ZHA’s entry into the infrastructural sector through the practice’s first train station projects. Filippo has played a pivotal role in delivering key transportation and cultural projects, including the King Abdullah Financial District Metro Station in Riyadh, Napoli-Afragola High-Speed Train Station in Italy, and Terminal 3B at Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport in China. He also co-directed the Navi Mumbai International Airport in India. With a focus on innovation and new mobility, Filippo leads ZHA’s participation in the Hyperloop Italia research group and the NatPower H Hydrogen Refuelling Stations project. His approach to large-scale infrastructure projects is driven by a deep interest in enhancing the public realm and fostering vibrant communities. This perspective is rooted in his experience designing cultural projects such as the Guangzhou Opera House in China and the Regium Waterfront Museum in Italy. Prior to joining ZHA, Filippo worked as part of the internal design team at the Uffizi Gallery in Florence, contributing to the museum’s new Entrance Facilities and Services and overseeing the restoration of the Rembrandt and Caravaggio suites.
