George J. Rouskas Notary

Georgios Rouskas has served as a notary public since 1993 and represents the second generation of a family tradition in the notarial profession. He trained and learned the profession under the guidance of his father, Ioannis Rouskas, who was a member of the Board of the Athens Notarial Association and President of the Insurance Fund of Greek Notaries. Georgios Rouskas served for three consecutive terms as President of the Greek Notaries Association and for two terms as President of the Council of European Notaries. He handled a series of major initiatives related to the digitalization of property transfer procedures, the regulation of unauthorized constructions, and electronic auctions. He has been a member of committees of the Ministry of Environment and Energy concerning unauthorized constructions, out-of-plan building regulations, and the Hellenic Cadastre. He has also participated in committees responsible for reforming and modernizing the property transfer process, including the implementation of MyProperty, digitalization procedures, and the issuance of tax clearance certificates. In addition, he has served on committees for the reform of objective property values. He has been a lecturer and speaker in seminars covering property transfers, the Hellenic Cadastre, insurance clearance certificates, and social security matters related to EFKA. To this day, he remains a member of the Board of Directors of the Notarial Association of the Courts of Appeal of Athens, Piraeus, the Aegean, and the Dodecanese. His daughter, Mary Rouska, continues the family tradition, representing the third generation in the notarial profession.
