KONSTANTINOS E. KATSIGIANNIS President, Canada–Greece Chamber of Commerce Konstantinos (Constantine) E. Katsigiannis is an international business lawyer and strategic advisor with more than four decades of experience advising corporations, investors, governments and international institutions on cross-border investment, market expansion and strategic partnerships. As President of the Canada–Greece Chamber of Commerce, he is actively engaged in strengthening bilateral economic relations by promoting trade, investment, innovation and institutional collaboration between Canada and Greece. He recently led the Canada–Greece Trade & Investment Opportunities Study, a strategic study and roadmap identifying new opportunities for bilateral trade, investment, innovation and long-term economic cooperation, while fostering dialogue among governments, financial institutions, industry, academia and the innovation ecosystem. He is Senior Partner of KM1886 – KatsigiannisMoschovakis1886, a firm with a family tradition in legal and strategic advisory services dating back to the 1880s. Throughout his career he has advised on major public and private sector projects involving mergers and acquisitions, infrastructure, energy, telecommunications, defence, real estate, public procurement, privatizations, venture capital and corporate restructuring, assisting international investors and organizations in navigating complex commercial and regulatory environments. His professional background combines legal practice with hands-on experience in industry, engineering and finance, including contributing to the early development of Greece's venture capital ecosystem. He has served on the boards of listed and privately held companies and on the Executive Committee and Board of Directors of the European Venture Capital Association (EVCA), contributing to the development of Europe's venture capital industry. He also served on the Board of Directors of SELPE, the Greek Large Retailers Association. His international assignments have included representing foreign governments and institutions, including the Governments of Canada and India, as well as the Canadian Olympic and Paralympic Committees. He served as Attaché of the Canadian Paralympic Team during the Athens 2004 Paralympic Games and represented Canada and the Vancouver Organizing Committee during the 2010 Olympic Torch Relay and Ceremonies in Greece. Mr. Katsigiannis has published on venture capital and public procurement and lectured in postgraduate university programs. He studied law at the University of Athens and Université Paris I Panthéon–Sorbonne, and completed executive programmes at the European Venture Capital Association Venture Institute, the EU–Japan Centre for Industrial Cooperation, the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb) and the Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution (CEDR). He is fluent in Greek, English, French and Italian, with working knowledge of Spanish and Portuguese. His current work focuses on fostering strategic partnerships that connect Canadian, European and international capital, innovation and institutions with strategic opportunities in Greece and Southeast Europe, supporting sustainable economic growth and long-term economic cooperation.
