Panayotis Tournikiotis is Professor Emeritus of Architectural Theory at the National Technical University of Athens. He studied architecture, urban planning, geography, and philosophy in Athens and Paris. His research focuses on the critical history and theory of architecture and on the ways in which historical understanding informs interdisciplinary design strategies in architecture and urban planning. His recent work explores the intersections of Greek and European architecture, focusing on the historical reinvention of Athens and the relationship between architectural history, cultural heritage, and contemporary urban transformation.
