Adam Markakis is the founder of Astylab, a network of people and organizations working to make cities better. He writes Take Back the City, a newsletter on urbanism read across Greece. He believes entrepreneurship is one of the best ways to improve our cities, so he builds startups that do so as a founding partner at Idea Machines, a venture builder, and funds them as co-founder of Astylab Ventures, an angel syndicate. His first startup, Kineo, got hundreds of people to swap their cars for bikes. He lives in Athens, where he is raising two young children.
