His Grace Bishop Nikodimos of Epidaurus (born Nikolaos Farmakis) has served, since 2019, as General Director of the Ecclesiastical Central Financial Service of the Church of Greece.

He holds a PhD from the Department of Social Theology of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA), specializing in the History and Philosophy of Religions, and has also pursued postgraduate studies in Canon Law. He has a longstanding academic and research background, complemented by an extensive ecclesiastical career.

He received the monastic habit in 1990 and, in 1999, entered the ranks of the clergy, subsequently receiving the ecclesiastical title of Archimandrite.

Following many years of dedicated pastoral ministry and significant service in the establishment and administration of ecclesiastical charitable organizations, social welfare structures and services, as well as in positions of responsibility within the administrative organization of the Church of Greece, he was elected Bishop of Epidaurus on 9 October 2025 by the Hierarchy of the Holy Synod of the Church of Greece.

Following his episcopal consecration on 19 October 2025, he has continuously exercised his liturgical and pastoral duties as Auxiliary Bishop to His Beatitude Archbishop Ieronymos II of Athens and All Greece, serving in the 2nd and 11th Archpastoral Districts of the Holy Archdiocese of Athens.

He is also a founding member and advisor to prominent Greek and international organizations providing humanitarian aid and support to vulnerable groups, with extensive activity both in Greece and abroad, and has repeatedly been honored for his humanitarian and ecclesiastical work.
