Born in Nicosia Cyprus in 1971, married with two children. Graduated with a distinction from Apostolos Petros & Pavlos Lyceum in Limassol, continued in Higher Technical Institute (H.T.I.), Nicosia, Cyprus and graduated with a scholarship from the University of Glamorgan (UK) with a B.Eng. (Hons) and possess postgraduate training in International Commercial Arbitration and in FIDIC Construction Adjudication. He is Chartered Civil Engineer in UK – (C.Eng), a registered Civil Engineer in Cyprus (ETEK) an Honorary member of the Oderm dos Engenheiros de Portugal, a Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers (FICE), Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIArb), ETEK Senior Arbitrator and Adjudicator, an Accredited Mediator for Trade Issues, a Fidic Certified Adjudicator (FCA) and UK Adjudicator board member. Since October 2024 he is the President of the European Council of Civil Engineers (ECCE), (2024 – 2027). Also, he is the Vice President of the scientific and Technical Chamber of Cyprus (ETEK), (2023-2026). He is an active Civil / Structural Engineer / consultant since 1995 and from 2003 he works as a managing partner / founder in a Civil and Structural Engineering Consultants Office in Nicosia, Cyprus providing services for Earthquake Engineering, structural design in R.C., Steel and Composite Buildings, Bridges and Water Retaining Structures. Also, he specializes in retrofitting and conservation of existing structures, restoration of Monuments and Traditional and listed Buildings, and project management. He has published a series of scientific papers on the necessity of regular inspection of buildings, the assessment and analysis of existing buildings and monuments, the safety, integrity and sustainability of structures and infrastructure, as well as on Building Contracts and Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) methods.
