Panos Tsigkourakos is a Senior Director and Head of Data Analytics & AI at Piraeus Bank, where he leads the Bank’s artificial intelligence strategy and drives its delivery and governance across the organization. In this role, he is responsible for advancing the Bank’s transformation into an AI-enabled enterprise, accelerating adoption across business and technology functions while establishing the operating model, platforms, and responsible AI framework required for scale. Panos brings extensive experience in advanced analytics, customer strategy, and AI-driven transformation. He has led a series of high-impact initiatives in the banking sector, including the development of ML-powered decisioning capabilities such as next best action solutions, the deployment of event-based marketing platforms enabling real-time customer engagement, and the design of analytics-driven performance management frameworks supporting target setting and value realization. Before joining Piraeus Bank, Panos served as Head of Decision Management at Citibank Greece and as Deputy Director at Alpha Bank. He also completed the Management Associate Program at Citigroup in North America. Panos holds a degree in Operational Research & Marketing from the Athens University of Economics and Business and an MBA from the Yale School of Management.
