Nikos Sergis is Head of the Public-Private Partnerships (PPP) Unit at the Greek Ministry of Economy and Finance, leading the country's national PPP programme, which supports the implementation of major infrastructure projects and public services. Under his leadership, Greece has developed a structured and internationally recognized PPP framework. To date, the Greek PPP Unit has signed 33 PPP contracts with a total investment of over €4.1 billion, while a further 34 projects are currently at the tender stage, representing an additional €5 billion in planned investment. These projects span sectors including transport, social infrastructure, digital services, and environmental works. Mr. Sergis plays a central role in shaping Greece's modern PPP governance model, promoting transparency, competition, and long-term value for the public interest, while working closely with international investors, financial institutions, and European organizations to support the country's infrastructure investment strategy.
