Athina Dimopoulou is Professor of History of Law at the Law School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA). She holds a PhD in Roman Law and a DEA from Panthéon-Assas University (Paris 2) and is the author of numerous academic books and articles on various topics in Ancient Greek and Roman law. She has taught as a visiting professor at Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne University, Panthéon-Assas University (Paris 2), the University of Zurich, and Sapienza University of Rome. She is a member of the Scientific Council of the École Pratique des Hautes Études in Paris and serves on the editorial boards of various international academic journals and publications of legal history. She is President of the Hellenic Society for the History of Law.
