Alexander Zinell was appointed Chief Executive Officer in 2016. Fraport Greece holds concessions to operate 14 Greek airports over a 40-year term. The company handled 30 million passengers in 2019, representing approximately 45% of Greek air travel. It invested more than 440m EUR in order to expand and overhaul all its airports. Prior to this assignment, Alexander Zinell was in charge of Global Investments and Management at Fraport AG. He held numerous senior positions at airport operations in Antalya (Turkey), St. Petersburg (Russia), Varna and Burgas (Bulgaria), Orlando (USA) and Lima (Peru). Alexander Zinell holds degrees in business administration from the University of Cologne and HEC in Paris.
