Anthimos has over 30 years career in Greek banking and financial sector. He has served as CEO of Piraeus Bank helping transform the Bank to the leading banking institution in Greece. Before that, he served as Deputy CEO of National Bank of Greece where he was instrumental to the Bank’s repositioning from the national champion to a leading regional financial institution. In 2018 he founded Hellenic Finance, a distress credit advisory and co-investment vehicle that has been supporting international institutional investors participate in the distress debt opportunity in Greece and Cyprus. He has studied Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Finance in Greece and the UK. He is a UK qualified Chartered Accountant and a US Chartered Financial Analyst.
