George Tsaprounis is Chief Communication Officer at Intrakat Group, a leading player in public infrastructure projects, PPPs, environmental projects, technology, renewable energy sources and Real Estate in Greece and abroad, with 35 years presence in the market and listed in the Athens Stock Exchange since 2001. Mr Tsaprounis is responsible for the functions of marketing, corporate communication, media relations, community affairs, crisis management, ESG and digital. Prior to that he was with Wind Hellas since 2001, with various roles with the latest one as Corporate Affairs Executive Director since January 2007.
He began his career in Australia in 1991 as a Communications Consultant in Australian companies. During his sojourn in Australia, he was an active member of the Greek–Australian Community Inc. where he acted as Assistant Manager. He returned to Greece in 1994 and assumed the position of senior project manager in the consulting firm Almo International. Following that post, he worked as a Marketing Manager in Hellenic Star Airways and in 1998 he became Marketing Manager of Aegean Casino.
George holds a Post Graduate Degree in Public Relations and Marketing from RMIT University in Australia and a Certificate of Technology and Computing from the Hawthorn Institute of Education/Melbourne University.
