Dimitrios Psaltopoulos is Professor in Development Economics and Sustainability at the
Department of Economics, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. His main research
interests include agricultural policy analysis, development economics and policy, and
quantitative methods. Since 2016 he has been working with Agriculture and Food Global
Practice, The World Bank as a Senior Economist – Consultant, engaged in various diagnostic analyses and projects in the Western Balkans. His research work has been published in numerous refereed international journals and presented in more than 70 international conferences. He has published numerous agricultural and development policy analysis reports and studies. Also, he has coordinated and participated as coordinator, team leader and researcher in many international research projects (including for the OECD and CEC), mostly on agricultural, rural, and development policy analysis. For a period of 6 years (2005-2011) he was an elected member of the Executive Board of the European Association of Agricultural Economists (EAAE).
