A mechanical engineer by training and a graduate of Imperial College London MSc in Environmental Technology. He worked as a research associate on fuel cells and the hydrogen economy, Renewable Energy Sources and Distributed  Power Generation looking at market penetration and technology transfer in research projects by the UK Dept. of Trade and Industry, the UN, the World Bank and the Japanese, Bulgarian and Greek Economy and Energy ministries. His doctoral research involved the construction of a non-linear simulation model looking into adoption rates and diffusion of demand-side energy equipment with a focus on System Thinking and dynamic behaviour of socioeconomic structures. 

He consulted on European Research and Structural Funds programmes and is currently the CEO of Komotini Paper Mill, an exporting SME tissue paper mill in Northern Greece, heading the investment programme on production efficiency, energy savings and environmental compliance. He is presently serving the board of the National Association of Enterprises in Industrial Areas as the Secretary and the Association of Industry of Rodopi Prefecture as a Vice President. He is a member of the British Energy Institute, the Hellenic Federation of Enterprises and the Hellenic Union of Industrial Consumers of Energy.
