Vassilis Antoniades is the EMC (East Mediterranean, Caspian) Financial Institutions
practice leader of the Boston Consulting Group (BCG). He is also a member of the BCG
Global CEO Advisory Council. He joined BCG in 2003 and had a key role in the
development of BCG’s activities in Greece. In the last years he provides advise to key
decision makers of financial institutions, energy players, governments, and organizations
from various sectors in Europe and the Middle East. From 2010 to 2018 he led the BCG
office in Greece.
Vassilis Antoniades has been appointed by the Greek government as a member of the
board of directors of the National Council for Research, Technology and Innovation
(NCRI), while he advises the Greek government on issues related to the country's
transition to a green economy and issues related to Greece's economic recovery from the
Covid-19 pandemic. At the same time, he is member on the boards of the Bodossaki
Foundation, the Benaki Museum as well as the Advisory Council for drafting a national
climate legislation on behalf of WWF Hellas. He is also a founding member of
ExcellenSeas, a Greek NGO granting scholarships for college to top high school graduates
from remote Greek islands.
He holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a B.Sc. magna cum laude in
International Finance from Georgetown University.
