John Sotos is a prominent civic-minded Canadian lawyer and an acknowledged leader in
the not-for-profit sector.
Born in Greece, he founded the globally recognized franchise law firm, Sotos LLP.
Throughout his illustrious career, John has been a dedicated supporter of the diaspora community, leading and/or founding numerous philanthropic organizations including, The Greek Community of Toronto, The Hellenic Canadian Congress, The Canadian Ethnocultural Council, The Hellenic Heritage Foundation and the Hellenic Initiative Canada as well as several professional organizations.
John cares deeply about the values of Greek civilization and contributes actively in their promotion in Canada. At the same time, he recognizes the importance of a stable, prosperous Greece where its citizens have the opportunity to enjoy their cultural heritage and values while thriving in their own country. He is committed to preserving and sharing the cultural heritage of Greece with future generations, both within the diaspora and in Greece itself.
