Aristotelis Panteliadis was born and raised in Athens, Greece.

He graduated from the Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB) in 1989. During his studies, he started working at the family business. In 2001, he took over as Chief Executive Officer of METRO SA, at the age of 33.

In February 2016, METRO SA acquired Veropoulos stores, thus forming one of the largest retail chains in the Greek market. Today, the company owns 280 stores, both My market retail super markets and METRO Cash & Carry wholesale markets, strategically located all over the country. The company currently employs over 11.000 people.

In January 2020, METRO SA opened its first store abroad, the MCC BEST VALUE LTD wholesale store in the city of Limassol in Cyprus. 

Aristotelis Panteliades is a board member of several entities, including SEV (Hellenic Federation of Enterprises), IELKA (Institute of Retail Consumer Goods – GR) and EEDE (Hellenic Management Association).
