Costas Eleftheriou is Assistant Professor in Political and Historical Sociology at the Department of Political Science of the Democritus University of Thrace. He holds a PhD in political science from the University of Athens. He has worked as an Adjunct Lecturer at the Democritus University of Thrace, the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and the Hellenic Open University teaching mainly courses on political science and political sociology. His research interests include normative and empirical party theory; Greek party politics with an emphasis on the historical development of the party phenomenon in Greece; radical left party politics in Europe; history of employers' associations in Greece. From 2019 until today he is the head of the political analysis unit for the Institute of Alternative Policies ENA based in Athens.
