Gabriel Sakellaridis is the Director of Eteron Institute for Research and Social Change, a newly-established progressive Institute based in Greece. Prior to that, he had been the Director of Amnesty International Greece from 2017 to 2021. He is an economist, having pursued undergraduate studies in Business Administration (Athens University of Economics and Business) and postgraduate studies in economics (New School for Social Research and University of Athens). As an economist, he has worked in research and in the private sector. He was elected as a Member of Parliament in 2015 in the district of Athens and served as Deputy Minister to the Prime Minister and Government Spokesman in 2015, until his resignment.
