Statistical and Actuarial Sciences graduate at the University of Trieste, he moved from the IT sector to social research through the UN Agency Habitat operating in Iraq and finally landed in SWG in 2003. SWG was founded in 1981 in Trieste and today it’s one of the leading market, social and political research companies in the Italy. He directs the SWG team that develops quantitative surveys and qualitative researches concerning social, political and institutional issues for public administration, companies, media, political candidates and parties. Availing of research data, he also holds an advising role for multiple clients.

He coordinates the weekly SWG Observatory on social and political changes RADAR, and has presented research results on television (national channels RAI, SkyTg24, La7) and radio broadcasts.

He has participated in the writing of several books and publications about politics and society, the latest being Il bipolarismo assimmetrico, L’Italia al voto dopo il decennio populista (Il Mulino, 2023) – an analysis of the Italian 2022 General elections.
