Ms. Christina Deligianni is the Managing Director of Verimpact and serves as the Policy Officer of the Institute for Sustainable Development at EPLO. With more than 20 years of experience in public policy and business development in the public and private sector, her fields of expertise include ESG, sustainable development, deep-tech innovation, and the blue economy and is passionate about delivering impact through strategic partnerships, innovative solutions, and data-driven insights. In the last five years, she has been instrumental in co-designing Verimpact, an AI-based ESG methodology and tool, and delivering ESG assessments and trainings around the global. She has led numerous EU-funded programs, including the South3E Horizon deep-tech Program which aims to promote innovation in deep technologies for sustainable development in South Europe.

Co-author of two papers in 2022, “Greek Climate Law Recommendations” which provides recommendations for aligning Greek legislation with the EU Green Deal, and “Assessing the ecosystem values of the Selvagens Islands in Madeira, Portugal, from a socio-economic perspective using an ESG approach” which proposes an innovative methodology for quantifying nature's contributions to people.

Through her EPLO/ISD work in the Blue Economy sector, she has curated and co-hosted the annual Blue Economy Forum in Greece since 2020, worked on the establishment of the Blue Platform in the Institute’s office in Cascais, Portugal (2020) and participated in the EPLO/ISD delegations to the UN 2022 Ocean Summit, the Our Ocean Conference in 2028 in Bali and various EU and UN-led initiatives for the Ocean. An advocate of a sustainable blue economy, she has organized various European Maritime Day in Greece and ocean literacy initiatives.

She holds an MA in the Humanities (University of Chicago, Fulbright Scholar), and a BA in English and Greek (University of Athens, Valedictorian) with high honors. She has undertaken advanced training in Public Diplomacy and Cultural/Educational Affairs (Foreign Service Institute, US Department of State) and participated in leadership programs.
