Giacomo Trovato, from Como (Italy), was born in 1971; he has year long experience in e-commerce as well as banking and insurance sectors. As Airbnb Country Manager for Italy and South East Europe he is responsible for guiding the company’s development and growth in a strategic area that includes some of the main destination markets in the world (Italy, Greece, Croatia, Turkey). Graduated in Political Economy at Bocconi University in Milan, he holds an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management. After an experience in consultancy at A. T. Kearney, he was Commercial Director at Genworth Financial and Product Director at CheBanca!. In 2012 he became Category Leader Books at Amazon Italy, where he worked until 2019, before joining Airbnb.
