Nikolaos (Nikos) Petrakis is the Visa Greece Country Manager responsible for the development and implementation of Visa’s market strategy.
Nikos joined Visa from Teleperformance Greece, where he was Vice President of Operations. He has 25+ years of experience and expertise in Retail Banking in the areas of Investment Products, Operations management, and Payments.
Nikos started his career in 1996 at Citibank Greece where he held various senior positions in the areas of Investment Products, Operations management, Cards, Merchant Acquiring and Portfolio management. He was leading Diners Club Greece from 2013 to 2014. He served Alpha Bank from 2015 to 2016 as a Deputy Director responsible for the development of the Investment Products offering.
In the period 2016 to Sept 2021, he worked for Piraeus Bank - initially as a Manager of the Merchant Acquiring and e-Payments unit, and a year later as a Senior Director of the Cards Business division.
Nikos holds a BA Hons in Business Administration from the University of Hertfordshire in England.
