Costas G. Papadopoulos is Vice President, Global Business Development Int’l & Strategy for Lockheed Martin Corporation since 1989, as well as the Legal representative of “Lockheed Martin International S.A.” and “Lockheed Martin Global Inc” companies in Greece.
Since 2018 his responsibilities encompass the region of South East Europe and before that, the Arabian Gulf Region, Pakistan, Libya, South Africa.
He has over forty years of international experience in aviation.
Prior to joining Lockheed Martin Corporation, he served for eleven years (1978 - 1989) at the Hellenic Aerospace Industry (HAI), in Greece. HAI is an aviation maintenance facility with manufacturing capabilities in the aircraft structural components and accessories and electronics. HAI was designed and built by Lockheed Aircraft Services Company who also provided the operating management.
During his service at HAI he held senior management positions in engineering, production planning & control, and in domestic & international business development.
Costas was born in Cairo, Egypt and he graduated from the College of Aeronautics, Cranfield Institute of Technology, Cranfield, UK. where he earned his M.Sc. Degree in 1976 in Structural Engineering.
In addition, he attended several specialized courses and executive management programs.
Costas has a son, George and a daughter, Maria-Elena.
In addition to Greek, which is his native language, Costas is fluent in English, Arabic and French.
