Mr. Athanasios Polychronopoulos is the Founder and the CEO of Polygreen S.A. a leading global company in circular economy initiatives that specializes in reliable and cost-effective waste management and marine pollution management services. His professional life is inextricably linked to the environment. In more than 20 years of successful career, he has managed some of the most demanding and technically challenging environmental projects around the world, including the Just Go Zero Project.

Since 2015, Mr. Polychronopoulos is a member of SEV Business Council for Sustainable Development (SEV BCSD) and also a Board member of UN Global Contact Network Hellas.

 

As an avid supporter of the Arts, in 2014, Mr. Polychronopoulos founded Polygreen Culture & Art Initiative (PCAI), a non-profit organization which aims to raise environmental awareness through art.

Mr. Polychronopoulos is a graduate of the Department of Business Administration and Management of the University of Piraeus and has attended business administration and management seminars at Stanford University and Harvard.
