Philipp is Managing Director of BayWa r.e. Projects Greece and leads the Group’s project development and execution activities for wind, solar, hybrid, energy storage and hydrogen projects in Greece.

Prior to this Philipp was the Co-Founder and CEO of OneShore Energy, a company which focused on PV diesel hybrid systems for islands and off-grid large scale power plants. Its activities, after the acquisition of BayWa r.e. AG, led to the execution of the largest global hybrid PV diesel off-grid power plant at a mining location in Mali, Africa for B2Gold. Earlier he was an initial team member of NexTracker, which listed on NASDAQ in 2023, and drove the first business of company outside of the US as European Sales lead. Before that he served as Managing Director and Director, European Sales for Solaria Germany GmbH in Berlin. He was also the Director for US-West Coast operations at Invest in Germany (previously IIC, now Germany Trade and Invest) based in Palo Alto, CA and has been assisting companies like First Solar in establishing their manufacturing facilities in eastern Germany. Philipp previously worked for Monitor Company (now Deloitte Consulting) as a strategic management consultant with a focus on technology industries and market entry strategies. He also gained initial experience in investment banking in the M&A division of UBS, and at HypoVereinsbank (now Unicredit), a retail and investment bank in Munich.

Philipp founded and served as a task force leader for cleantech start-ups of the Berlin-Brandenburg Energy Network (BEN) and founded the Clean Technology Industry Group for the German American Business Association (GABA) in Northern California. He was a member of the Industry Advisory Committee (IAC) of the Solar Europe Industry Initiative (SEII) and served on the industry advisory committees of multiple conferences such as Intersolar (Europe and North America) and Hybrid Renewables Conference (Solarplaza).

Philipp studied at the London School of Economics and at Escuela Superior de Administración y Dirección de Empresas (ESADE) in Barcelona and holds a M.Sc. degree from the London School of Economics and a CEMS-Master degree in Management. Philipp speaks German, English, Spanish, French, Italian and Greek.
