HELEN N. SKOUTELI MD, PhD Pediatric Neurologist ,President of ELEPAP I graduated from the National Kapodistrian Medical School of Athens and completed my training in Paediatrics in main teaching hospitals in Athens. I supported my philosophy thesis and became a Philosophy Doctor (PhD) at the same University. I trained in Child Neurology in London, UK (Hammersmith Hospital, Royal Post-Graduate Medical School) and at Children's Hospital, Boston Harvard University. I became an EEG Epilepsy Fellow at the same Hospital and Instructor at Harvard. Upon return to Greece as a qualified Paediatric Neurologist, I began to work in the private sector, large maternity hospitals with Babies ICU and became a volunteer physician in ELEPAP (Hellenic Association for Disabled Persons) in Athens since 1996.
In 2011, I started the early intervention rehabilitation program for very young babies including premature babies in ELEPAP Babies Unit and two years ago I became the President elect of ELEPAP Greece. I participated in many local and international congresses as a spokesperson and became the Secretary General and President of the Hellenic Pediatric Neurologists Association. I am a member of numerous medical associations in Greece and abroad and in November 2020 I received as the President of ELEPAP with the previous President Ms Moschou, the European Citizens Award for 2021 in Brussels.
