László Andor is the Secretary General of the Foundation for European Progressive Studies, a social democratic think tank in Brussels. Dr Andor is an economist, and former EU Commissioner for Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion. Previously he was executive director at the European Bank for Reconstruction (EBRD) in London. Between 2014 and 2019, he was head of department of economic policy at Corvinus University (Budapest), and also lectured at the Hertie School (Berlin), ULB (Brussels) and Sciences Po (Paris). He was awarded Doctor Honoris Causa at Sofia University of National and World Economy and the French Legion of Honour. His most recent book (Europe’s Social Integration) was published in 2022.
