Rosemary Steen is Chief Executive of Design and Crafts Council Ireland www.dcci.ie which is a state funded organisation supporting the Irish design and craft sectors. She loves promoting Irish businesses and is passionate about developing more opportunities for Irish craft and design at home and abroad. She is a graduate of Trinity College Dublin with a BA in Economics and Philosophy and holds a Masters in Business from University College Dublin. She recently obtained both a Certificate and Diploma in Company Direction from the Institute of Directors in Ireland.
An economist by training she has worked for globally leading companies such as Vodafone and Shell but also public sector organisations in Ireland. She has worked to support the peace process in Northern Ireland for 20 years and is now Chair of the Middletown Centre for Autism which is a globally leading centre of excellence for the support of children with autism.
